This week's Topic is Gold. If anyone has any objections to this topic, please go to the Poetry Topic Objections post.
Poems can be as long and short as you want them to be. This is not a contest, it's just for fun and to show off our own poetry.
In her eyes you see the color
In the mist they glow so
Through the twisted darkness
The color gold
She smiles perfect
Glowing fairly
Brighter than the sun
She is gold
Grace divine
Love and peace
Through the stars
Ever so gold
Passing by you see that spark
You glance back
but now it's gone
Did you lose it?
You hope not.
You close your eyes and remember that time
that time when everything was so clean
So perfect
Yet so sinned
That spark you hope to reach again
Far from your sights,
the color stays within
your mind so clear
That gold spark is forever near.
